Larry,

The OMake lists are also being archived by gmane, so you can use their 
search interface (which has more advanced fearues than Mailman's) - 
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.programming.tools.omake.general

Alternatively, you can use Google with something like 
"your_search_string omake site:lists.metaprl.org" to restrict it to 
omake-related stuff in the mailing list archives.
