Note that you can disable it by including --no--progress in the 
OMAKEFLAGS environment variable - I would imagine that it should be 
fairly easy to instruct XEmacs (or the XEmacs startup script) to do 
that. Or you can just set the OMAKEFLAGS in your login script, if you 
would like to have different set of defaults globally.
