Dear MetaPRL Users,

Today one of the main MetaPRL servers (main.metaprl.org,
lists.metaprl.org) was upgraded and as a part of this upgrade, the
mailing list setup was changed. There are now 3 separate mailing lists:

* metaprl-announce at metaprl.org is a low-volume list for announcements of
major developments in MetaPRL. Go to
https://lists.metaprl.org/mailman/listinfo/metaprl-announce to
(un)subscribe or change your subscription options (if you are getting
this message, you are probably already subscribed).

* metaprl-cvs at metaprl.org is a list that will get the all the automated
"CVS Commit" messages. Go to
https://lists.metaprl.org/mailman/listinfo/metaprl-cvs to (un)subscribe
or change your subscription options

* metaprl-private at metaprl.org is a list that will host most of the
MetaPRL discussions (in other words, this is the descendant of the
former onlynews at metaprl.org). Go to
https://lists.metaprl.org/mailman/listinfo/metaprl-private to
(un)subscribe or change your subscription options.

The news://news.metaprl.org/local.metaprl newsgroup will continue as
before. All messages received at _any_ of the 3 lists should go to the
newsgroup and all messages posted to the newsgroup should also appear on
the metaprl-private at metaprl.org mailing list. (Note - this is not fully
tested yet. Please let me know if you think it is not working as
advertised).

P.S. metaprl at metaprl.org is currently an alias for
metaprl-private at metaprl.org. This may change in the future (for example,
we might create a public list parallel to metaprl-private at metaprl.org)

P.P.S. The former setup also contained the
news://news.metaprl.org/local.metaprl.russian newsgroup for Russian
speakers and a number of corresponding mailing lists. The group is still
there, since it had been inactive for a long time, I have not created
any mailing lists for it in the new setup. Please let me know if you
would like to see those lists resurrected.
